Cindy Trang, LAc

Board Certified Acupuncturist

Cindy Trang, LAc is a board-certified acupuncturist currently assisting in clinic operations while she gains knowledge and experience in office management. Additionally, Cindy shadows Eileen in the clinic, learning practical acupuncture methodology and how to use acupuncture tracking software to improve the level of patient care.

Cindy’s interest in acupuncture began shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree in psychology. As she was considering possible career paths, Cindy saw a documentary about the effect of medication on children with ADD and ADHD which triggered her to contemplate alternatives to treating mental health concerns. Once she discovered how acupuncture could make a significant clinical difference without pharmaceutical intervention, Cindy immediately enrolled in coursework to become a certified acupuncturist.

Now board certified, Cindy is eager to help as many patients as possible with a variety of conditions and issues. She is especially interested in women’s health, particularly dysmenorrhea; she credits acupuncture for helping her personally manage this distressing condition on an ongoing basis. Additionally, Cindy is intrigued with how emotional health affects the entire body and can be treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. She hopes to be able to help patients manage their stress and anger, which often manifest as other ailments.

Cindy holds a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has been certified to practice acupuncture since June 2017. She also earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego in 2012. Her professional goals are to eventually build her own acupuncture practice and return to school to receive a Doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
